Guys. Learn. As if i havent yet proven myself as a true blue GEEK, today we are gonna talk about Sexual Selection.
Sexual selection is a specific fitness component of Natural Selection.
In sexual selection, we are concerned with mating and fertilization sucess.
With regard to mating sucess, it is determined by 2 factors

1. Intra-sex competition - where the "winner" gets access to the other sex ( usually females)
2. Mate Choice - where (usually) females get to choose her partner in the process deciding paternity of her offspring.

What should a male do to get chosen? You show as best as you can, ALL your desirable qualities and traits.

Which is why ah-bengs grow long pinkie finger nails, why guys often overdo the GEL, why girls look like friggin geishas even at 8am lectures, why John Travolta couldn't stop thrusting his hips suggestively in a whole string of movies...etc

OK you get my drift ya.. usually its the male of the species that do the attracting while the females choose... we'll talk abt why next time...

  dead.lines. Now i see it... I know why I did absolutely NUTHIN' during the mid sem break.. I must have some amazin' foresight, the wisdom to predict the "Deadline Tsunami" that is about to fully consume my mental health and further detriment my already pathetic social life. Deadlines are terribly unhealthy..because you worry about the now and the future..thats double doses! And yeah eventually you end up dead or near lifeless as its name suggests.

U know what else is unhealthy? I've slipped back into tardy-ness... THIS is a geniune cause for concern! Bad Denise BAD! Get your act together for pete's sake!! Speaking of Pete, who the hell is Pete? and why do I have to do things i dun necessarily like doing for His sake.. This pete guy better bloody hell be a Ooh-lal-la gorgeous man in uniform! The things I've been doing for him seriously....

Its wierd this sem.. its painfully bitter sweet.. love the fact that i'm spending more time with my beloved same-feathered birds..flocking together more often nowadays..fully enjoyin their company but also constantly reminded that they are graduating at the end of sem. Bloody soddin' depressin. These are my "war buddies"..pple who've been thru hell and high seas with me..pple who i truly love and care about... not being able to hang during free periods is gonna be so wierd, un-natural and just plain sadd. I feel just EMPTY thinking about it. sigh. Anyway guys you noe how much i HEARTs you all.. Shirley, Jacq, Regina, Daniel, Natalie, Jason...cant remember the rest la too damn traumatic.. Hearts u all..all the same !!
